Surrey Heartlands is a partnership of organisations working together – with staff, patients, their carers, families and the public – to support people to live healthier lives. Called the Surrey Heartlands Health and Care Partnership, we are formally known as an ‘Integrated Care System’ (or ICS for short). That means we take collective responsibility for improving the health of the local population, managing resources (including money) and making sure services are high quality. The four overarching aims of bringing partners together in this way are to: Improve outcomes in population health and healthcare Tackle inequalities in outcomes, experience and access Enhance productivity and value for money Help the NHS support broader social and economic development.
